What this system is

The FYP Management System runs the Final Year Project courses CSP600 and CSP650 for the Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences (FSKM), Universiti Teknologi MARA. Students, supervisors, examiners, lecturers and the FYP manager use it to submit, sign, mark and track project work.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, matric or staff number, UiTM email address, programme, class group and campus.
  • Project work: titles, abstracts, forms (F1 to F13), uploaded files, logbook entries and presentation slides.
  • Assessment records: marks, comments, annotations, correction requests and digital signatures.
  • Activity: when you sign in, when a submission is opened or marked, and the notifications sent to you. These keep deadlines and turnaround times honest.
  • Feedback you choose to send through the in-app feedback form.

Signing in with Google

If you choose Continue with Google, Google tells us only your name and email address. We use the email address to find your existing account; nothing is created from it. Only verified UiTM addresses (@uitm.edu.my and its subdomains, such as @student.uitm.edu.my) are accepted.

We do not ask for, and cannot reach, your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or anything else in your Google account, and we never post anything on your behalf.

How it is used

Only to run the FYP courses: showing each person the work they are responsible for, recording marks and signatures, sending reminders, producing the official forms and reports, and letting the faculty check that assessment was done fairly and on time. Your data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared outside the University except where the law requires it.

Who can see it

Access follows your role. A student sees their own project. Supervisors, examiners and lecturers see the students assigned to them or in the class they teach. The FYP manager sees the whole cohort to administer it. Blind-marked forms stay hidden from the other marker until marks are released.

AI feedback

Some submissions can receive draft feedback from an AI model. That model runs on hardware operated by the system’s developer; submissions are not sent to outside AI companies. AI feedback never decides a mark: marks are always entered by staff.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, a “remember me” cookie only if you tick that box, and a small preference cookie that remembers which pages you chose to show. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. The pages load their typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google for the font file.

How long it is kept

Records are kept for as long as the faculty needs them as a record of FYP assessment, then removed. Password-reset and sign-in tokens expire on their own and are cleared regularly.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal data held about you, or to have something corrected, by contacting us below. Records that form part of an official assessment may need to be kept even if you ask for them to be removed.
